Cockroaches are insects that have travelled a long distance of time. They are said to have been in existence for over 300 years. Meaning that, they have the strength of surviving hard periods as several species are on record. That is why despite some tough exterminating measures, they may still escape thereby making them seem uncontrollable or even in some occasions find their ways back into the house from the other next door neighbours.
In fact, from research, it has been discovered that cockroaches can survive without water or food for some time even with their heads cut off for a week.
Consequently, their long stay in the house can trigger asthma and allergies from the allergins that the roaches have.

CLEAN DISHES

Leaving the vinegar cup or dirty dishes behind overnight in the dishwater without washing or rinsing can encourage the harbouring of cockroaches in the kitchen.

FIX CRACKS

Being on look-out for cracks in the wall, cupboard, floor or gaps around the sink and water pipes ad this can also help prevent the cockroaches from making the house a home.

KEEP SURFACES CLEAN

Endeavour to wipe away the leftovers, seasonings or bits of food left in the kitchen.

KEEPING YOUR FOOD PROPERLY

If any food items or condiments are to be stored in the cabinet, it is hygienic that the containers wherein such are should be well sealed.

USE ADHESIVE TRAPS

These traps work like magic by making them get stuck to the glue-like traps.

SPRAY INSECTICIDES

It is usually carried about that soapy water when sprayed on cockroaches can help to exterminate them. Alas! When this is tried on several occasions, we tend to discover that it does not kill them but only slows them down while they recover from it over time. Thus, it becomes advisable to make a good riddance of the roaches by spraying insecticides where the roaches’ infestation is.
